Pizza: Patrick's Handmade Pizzas
One cheese and olive, one pepperoni, and one Carfagna's mild sausage and orange pepper. Mix of Carfagna's pizza sauce and Classico Fire Roasted sauce. Very good.

Movie: Toy Story 2
Classic. Pixar's third film is not only one of the greatest movie sequels ever, but this 1999 masterpiece stands as one of the best animated films of all time. Yes, you've already seen it.

Trevor: Inside Out, Ange's Calzone

Trevor
Saturday February 20th

Pizza: Ange's Calzones
One with sausage onion and green pepper, one with plain cheese and half black olive.
P: "Trevor, how did you like the pizza foldovers? "
T: "Terrible. The cheese was weird. Never get it again."
P: "Do like Ange's regular pizza? This is the exact same ingredients!"
T: "Yes. Can we just get that next time?"
P: "Fine."
Lauren kind of felt the same way, but at least she ate it. Beth and I thought it was delicious. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Movie: Inside Out
Everyone loved it. We'd seen it once before, but it had been a while. For a mainstream animated feature, there is an unusual amount of depth here. Who would have thought a Pixar movie about childhood depression and possible mental illness would make for good popcorn fare? I don't know, but they kinda nailed it. Eight thumbs up.

If you've already seen the movie, and want to go a little further down this rabbit hole, check this out. An American film student re-cut the movie only showing the scenes of Riley in the real world. It's kinda jumpy, but somehow a little darker. It's not quite the existential genius that is Garfield minus Garfield, but ta-da, it happened, and HERE'S A LINK

Beth: X-MEN Days of Future Past, Pizza Bread

Beth
Saturday February 13th 2016

Pizza: Pizza Bread
I accidently ruined the dough by not adding the correct amount of water, so with only an hour to go until movie time, I called an audible: back to Carfagna's for Pizza Sub Shop buns! They turned out delicious. (Carfagna’s sauce, Pizza Sub buns, and Yoder’s pizza blend cheese, sliced smoked sausage from the refrigerated section, and black olives). There are no pictures because this blog idea, though conceived two weeks ago while on a dog walk, was not implemented until two days after the pizza.

Movie: X-Men Days Of Future Past
Various comments include "It was a little confusing." "We drew a paper timeline to keep track of the days of future past last time we watched it, and I still don't understand.""Can I play Minecraft now?"

A new blog? Sure, why not.

2016 marks a change for the Long Family’s semi-weekly Pizza and a movie event. Instead of going with a rigid structure of having each Friday night assigned to a specific person, there will now be leeway so that no one gets skipped in the rotation. Upon this new decree, BETH was the first one up.

Also, I fully don't expect anyone to ever read this blog. This is mainly so we can keep track of who's turn it is and what we've already ate and watched. Super lame, I know. This isn't for you, though. So eat it. And by "it", of course I mean pizza.
